First, I like to get to know the student and what type of instruction they respond to, then it's easier to move forward with the lesson in a way that is understandable.
Then, I want to find out what the student's goal is during our time together.
Finally, I like to work through the material with the student and answer questions as we go while I explain the reasoning behind the process.
