About Khaoula
Tutoring for the last 8 years, I have experience in a vast number of subjects, helping students boost their scores in specific classes as well as their overall organization and study skills. Every single student of mine has shown improvement. I'm also very experienced with teaching students with attention and learning difficulties, haveing been a special needs tutor. Working full time as a research assistant, I tend to only be available in the early mornings and evenings but can make weekends work as well.
I have been a volunteer and personal tutor for the last 8 years, since I first started high school. In high school, I worked with younger students and my peers, eventually becoming the institution's head tutor, training new tutors and working with students who might need a bit extra help. In college, I continued to tutor, volunteering for Big Brother/Big Sister at a local magnet school before being hired by the school's learning center. I've guided students of all ages, abilities, and levels through English, Math, and Science courses, college admissions, and general learning skills.

I usually prefer to meet or speak with the student (and whomever reached out to me for the tutoring, in the case of younger students) and speak to them one-on-one about their expectations and mine to ensure we're all on the same page. In the case of subject-specific tutoring I like to see their personal examples of past work and/or offer a simple diagnostic to help establish a baseline. If we're all on the same page, we can move forward by creating a schedule with milestones and goal points to keep us on track.

No, I like to base my price on the students' needs, as I provide very individualized help and tend to take on very few students at a time. We can come to a mutually agreeable sum.
