About Brandy
I have a passion for my students! With over 7 years of teaching experience, I have taught and tutored elementary to university level students.
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature and Spanish Language and Culture, as well as a Master's in Spanish Linguistics. I can tutor English-language literature and writing, as well as Spanish language, literature, and culture.
I love working one-on-one with students. Differentiating instruction for students who are often at very different levels and capabilities in a classroom setting can be quite difficult. One-on-one learning really allows me to hone in on an individual's needs to help them achieve their goals, and there is nothing more gratifying than helping someone reach their goals.

I use the first meeting with a student to assess their gaps in knowledge, their needs, and their learning styles. From there, I can develop a plan to fulfill those needs. The next session, I can review the plan and objectives with the student, and we can begin tackling the plan and learning. Each session will include some new material and a review of material from past sessions, and each session is another opportunity to further assess a student's needs and adjust our plans accordingly.
