About Paula
Hello! I am a recently retired from 29 years of being a first grade teacher and miss this rewarding career. I loved teaching and seeing children grasp new learning skills. I have had many hours of professional development in the elementary subjects such as reading and math. My philosophy of teaching is to use different ways to get students to interact and enjoy learning. I would love to be considered to tutor your child.

First, I would get to know the student. I want to find out what they are interested in such as games, toys, hobbies, etc. Then I would do initial assessments to see where they are acedemically and where we need to start with our instructional plan.
