About Lillian

Lillian has earned her degree at New York University and has a track record in tutoring ESL students. Her students come from various backgrounds including China, Korea, and France. She has taught children, teenagers, and adults.

Her fluency in Chinese and knowledge in a variety of other languages including French and Korean allow her to customize her teaching towards her students' backgrounds.

I love seeing my students be more confident as they work with me.

I started tutoring peers from a young age, and gradually moved towards tutoring people of various ages at my high school and university.

About the lesson

I like to understand the student's English level first from a quick interview about their history of learning English, their problem areas, and a quick and fun game to test their English reading, speaking, and writing skills.

Make sure you find a good fit for yourself in terms of learning style. Try out different tutors to find the best one for you.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I always like to clarify with my students their goals for learning English. Is it for business purposes? Is it a hobby? Is it to apply for school in English speaking countries? These will be important for a teacher to know.
