About Laura
Hello! I'm Laura J. I'm currently a senior at High School and I'm going to attend Brown University this fall (COVID-19 permitting!). I know that this is a stressful and frustrating time. I'm here to help.
I'm a Gold Award recipient (Girl Scout equivalent of Eagle Scout) and won the award by creating and conducting a Public Speaking class called Speaking Confidently. I'm also Co-President of my girl scout troop, Shark Bait and my Mock Trial team, so I know how to manage time while maintaining a high GPA.
I'm currently taking Advanced Placement Calculus and would love to help you learn the foundations you need for higher math. I not only know the material that's being taught, but I also know what to emphasize so that you can succeed in high levels.
I love science and am considering majoring in Neuroscience or Environmental Science. I've scored a five on both the Psychology and Environmental Science exams so, again, I know what you need to do to succeed today and in the future.
English is another passion of mine. I'm currently taking both Advanced Placement English Language and Literature. That means that whether you need help with writing research or analysis essays, I can give you the best advice.
As a member of the Class of 2020, COVID-19 has disrupted many of my celebratory moments as a senior. While I might not get a graduation ceremony, it would mean just as much to me to be able to pass on my experience and knowledge. I believe in the value of education, and I would love the opportunity to give back to the community that helped me succeed in my education by tutoring you.
