About David
Mission
As many IT jobs around the world now require English communication skills, my mission is to help these IT professionals maintain their current position or obtain a new one once they are given a comprehensive English assessment and appropriate training.
Vision
My vision is for many more IT professionals to succeed in current jobs which require English language skills and to obtain new jobs that require enhanced levels of English. This will be accomplished through English language assessments to identify problem areas where an individual needs the most improvement. The assessments would encompass technical (IT) jargon plus general and advanced English skills. Personalized lessons would then be given to strengthen or develop those specific areas, allowing the student to be more successful during interviews or at their existing employment.
Goal
With 25 years as an IT professional and 15 years as an ESL teacher I would like to combine those skills to help IT professionals obtain highly paid foreign contracts or to excel in their current and future local positions.
s many international IT professionals lack sufficient English skills to obtain IT jobs requiring a sufficient level of English to handle communication issues in their current positions or to help them obtain new jobs with foreign companies requiring English skills, my goal is to help the IT professional maintain the current position or to obtain a new one with English lessons.
My Qualifications
I am qualified to assist and guide you in your study of English for the following reasons:
· I have many years of language teaching experience to international students.
· I have experience opening a successful language school in Vietnam.
· I have experience in creating individually tailored lessons for my students.
· I am familiar with the culture of different countries and the difficulties of individuals with different first languages.
· I am a Berlitz Certified Instructor of English.
· I have a BA in business and English.
· I have a certificate in TESOL
· I have a certificate in computer programming and management with over 25 years in that field.
INTRODUCTION
My name is teacher David from the United States. I have been teaching English for over 14 years.
I first began teaching ESL when I began my teaching career online to Koreans of various ages. Since that time, I have taught English to many people throughout the world including students of all ages from kindergarten to 4 CEO’s.
Later I moved to Vietnam where I started to teach in-person live classes to many age groups including 1 year at the National Economics University in Hanoi as well as many students from Bach Khoa Engineering University in Hanoi.
Later equipped with our own lessons my friend and I started teaching classes to kindergartens. I also gained experience in teaching IELTS to adults. During my last 2 years in Vietnam, I started an English center primarily for children which now has over 300 students.
I really enjoy teaching pronunciation and vocabulary. In general, I don’t think grammar is the most important aspect of learning English unless you are preparing for a test. Generally, speaking well and understanding what is being said is the most important need.
I can help you prepare for an English exam, a new job requiring English, a foreign IT contract or for traveling or applying to live in a new country.
I enjoy teaching and have learned so much from my students over the years.

I want to be your English teacher.
My name is David. I am a native of Pennsylvania in the Northeastern part of the United States. I have been an ESL teacher in the Philippines and in Vietnam for over 10 years. I have taught students from Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan, Japan, Iran, Indonesia, Laos, Vietnam, China, and the Philippines.
I taught all levels of English plus Business English, writing emails, and business writing. I taught one semester in the Philippines at La Consolation in Manila. Also, I taught English at National Economic University in Hanoi, Vietnam.
