About Valerie
I have a bachelors in education from UC Irvine, with a specialization in Digital Media. As the daughter of a 4th grade teacher, I've been helping out in classrooms for most of my life. I've tutored children of all ages in the classroom and in their homes. Working one-on-one with students is very fulfilling work for me, and it's where I shine.
I love helping students learn new things, challenging them to think in new ways, and rewarding their persistence. I believe in positive reinforcement and encouragement.
Associated degree in Child and Family Education from Antelope Valley College
Bachelors Degree in Education with a specialization in Digital Media from University of California, Irvine.
-2 years of experience in elementary level tutoring.
-3 years of experience in assistant teaching
-1 year of experience being the lead teacher in a preschool classroom.
