About Vitoria
Hi! I'm Vitoria! Nice to meet you!
I am an English-language and English-language literature tutor (as well as a published poet, content writer, and translator!) with not only formal training in creative writing, but a lifelong academic passion for English-language literature and poetry.
I have primarily tutored poetry in English and French, and am more than comfortable helping to construct, proofread, revise, and prepare longer academic assignments.
I see the tutor-student relationship not as something hierarchical, but as a unit - when we work together, we work toward success. When something doesn't work, we think of a plan together and come up with something to meet those goals.
I love making language fun - English can act like an inconsistent and challenging puzzle in many ways, but the main goal of my work is not to focus on polished correctness or adherence to a prestige dialect, but to pay more attention to the fluidity of language, being understood, and the way to make the language (and your individual understanding of it) your own!
I make an excellent English tutor not only because of my native English, but I also speak several other languages as well - this way, I help break down a language's moving pieces and parts into digestible, applicable concepts.
I speak Spanish, French, and Danish primarily, and am comfortable tutoring in these languages, and at a conversational level I know limited Persian and Arabic.

Hola, soy Vitoria!
