About Stephen
Hello, thank you for taking a look at Cornerstone Music. I have been playing music since I was a young child. I started playing the piano in the 2nd grade and the french horn in the 8th. While I was in high school I was the principle horn for the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra, played in both the All State Band and All State Orchestra, and received superior ratings at the city, region, and state solo and ensemble contests. I play the horn as a hobby now. I teach a warm-up method that when practiced daily will increase your range and accuracy.
I am also a sound and lighting engineer by trade with over 30 years experience. I have trained numorous interns to go on and work in the industry. I can train your volunteer staff in the basics of audio and lighting and specialize in digital mixing consoles.
During my college years I was constantly being asked to go "work with the horns" during my observation hours at the local high schools and jr highs.
I have a degree in music from Ouachita Baptist University. I have performed in various musical groups over the years and continue my personal study of the instrument.
