About Dieter
I build from the ground up. Many instructors nowadays take on a player with the intent they will return within a short time frame. They will make this happen by taking the "band-aid" approach, giving you a short term fix. When the fix does not work anymore you will have to spend more money and return for another lesson. My service stands out because I focus on long term growth. I achieve this with my players by making sure the fundamentals are sound and working from there based on what they would like to improve. The changes we make together will be sustainable if the work is put in. My main goal is to have the player leave a lesson with me feeling confident in the changes we have made while having a clear understanding on the next steps.
I want everyone to play golf. Golf is a great game that parallels life. I have been playing golf since I was three years old and learned at an early age the importance of honesty, integrity, patience and kindness. I have cultivated countless personal and business relationships on the golf course. I am a firm believer in being able to tell the true character of an individual on how they handle themselves on the golf course, disregarding ability. By teaching others to play the game I love, I get to see all ages enjoy the game for the first time, or more than they did before.
When I was in high school I was asked if I would be willing to run a summer school program for middle school students.
Also, John Means Golf Camps and Schools ((concealed information) provided me a place where I could learn from the best. They invite me back every year to help instruct at the junior and adult camps.
1) Started teaching in high school and developed a summer school program for middle school students
2) Competed in four Wisconsin state high school championships
3) Played collegiate golf for four years and competed in the 2010 National Championships
4) Graduated from college with a bachelor's degree in golf enterprise management
5) Competed in multiple Minnesota and Wisconsin state opens and state amateur championships
6) Spent several years teaching at John Means Golf Camps and Schools. It was here I really learned how to teach as I had the opportunity to work with John, an inductee in the college golf coaches hall of fame, and his colleague, Lee Dietrich, who is a top 100 instructor.

First and foremost, I want to find out what they would like to work on. After this I watch them hit a few shots before developing a plan for the rest of the lesson. When the lesson is complete we will put together a plan of action to effectively implement the changes.
1) Beginners
2) Juniors
3) Top high school athletes
4) Collegiate athletes
4) Adult beginners all the way to advanced
As stated previously, select a teacher that will not put a "band-aid" on your game. Find a teacher that will provide sustainable growth.
I will describe an event that happens every year. Every year I instruct at the John Means Golf Camps and Schools in the month of June and every year our junior players make significant strides. It never fails. By the end of the week of camp, these students make more progress than any other time in the year. I always look forward to seeing their results after the camp is over and continuing with their golf seasons and careers.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
1) Do I want to play recreationally or competitively?
2) How many times do I play per year?
3) How much time do I have to practice what I learn?
4) Do I need help with putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play, or full swing?

Perfect! Dieter really helps you understand "where and how" to improve your game - from start to finish. He takes videos of you so you can see what you're doing wrong and what you're doing right. I would highly suggest the 4 lesson package - that way, you can work on your entire game : Drives , to short game, to approach shots to putting. My game has improved greatly. More consistent, more Pars,
Perfect! Gave my 17 year old son lots of acronyms to help remember stance, grip, ball placement, etc. Very nice and helpful. My son enjoyed lessons a lot!
Perfect! He was patient, friendly, and taught me the basics.
Perfect! Dieter is a phenomenal teacher/coach. In one session, I’ve already seen improvement and I look forward to more sessions with him. Dieter uses acronyms for easy to understand guidelines that I use to improve everyday. A must hire. His price is fair and he doesn’t focus on time, he focuses on improvement and comprehension. 👍
Perfect! Dieter is absolutely awesome. Look no further. He was very personable and good teachers know how to cater to their students, he is a great teacher and all around awesome guy. I hadn't golfed in around 15 years and recently got back into it. He was able to acknowledge my strengths and weaknesses immediately, and without overflowing my brain with too many tips, he was able to teach me a large amount of information that I was able to retain easily, using acronyms and other proven teaching methods to not only help me understand things, but more importantly to retain them and apply them to my swing and my game. I believe any golfer, even low handicappers could benefit from a lesson with Dieter and certainly if you are just picking up golf, I wouldn't reccomend someone else, he wants to help you succeed and wants you to enjoy the process. Beginners, long time players that want to get an edge on their game, people who haven't played in a year or two. I am confident he can accommodate for just about any issue I can think of. After our first lesson I went out and had the best round of my life, so really, if you are reading this you should just hire him.
Perfect! Dieter quickly identified tips that would help me improve- I saw results immediately!- gave me a simple, easy way to remember the tips, was very friendly and patient and fun. Highly recommend lessons with Dieter.
Excellent! Great instructor to work with. Answered all my questions and helped me reach the goals I was trying to accomplish. Willing to work with you until you succeed, won't quit on you!
