What I really enjoy about Micah’s guitar lessons are that whatever aspect of musical style or technique that I have interest in, he always has an organic way of expounding on the subject. It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or a seasoned guitarist because Micah can adapt to your needs and interests. I have enjoyed playing for nearly 50 years and have had various instructors. But never have I been so inspired to practice and really put in the work necessary to excel to meet my goals. I learn something of value in every weekly lesson.

Even on days where I didn't feel like having a lesson, they've always been fun and helpful with whatever topic we discuss. He helped me with every technique imaginable at the start and now explains complicated aspects of music theory I didn't know existed. Wouldn't choose anyone else to teach me over him.

As a guitar teacher, Micah is a great communicator. If you just want a guitar lesson, just want to learn chords and scales and The occasional song, Micah’s not for you. Now, sure, he can teach that stuff, and he *will* teach that stuff, but if all you’re hoping to get out of guitar lessons are chords and scales and the occasional song. YouTube is your friend.

Now, if you’re looking to LEARN the guitar...understand the guitar...commune with the guitar on a higher astral plane...

After spending 20 minutes with Micah NOT talking about guitar, you’ll be a better guitar player.

After a lesson discussing blues scales and minor sixths and George Harrison and gypsy jazz (in one train of thought), you’ll be a better guitar player.
