Pete is a rare kind of instructor; He teaches all ages and levels, he is experienced as a singer, songwriter and professional performer, both solo and with groups. He can rapidly decode a song from a recording or youtube video and then transpose it for the student's immediate use. His personal repertory is massive.
As teacher he is very tuned in to his students needs and learning styles, and he can play most styles/types of music. He reads music fluently and can teach theory, but does not require it in his students. He will tweek his teaching technique to help us along.

Pete individualizes the lessons to include whatever genre of music, or music technique you are interested in. His lessons are fun, always include "homework" ( which I like), and always challenge me without overwhelming me. Learning how to play the guitar as an older person (60+ years old) has been a dream come true for me and something I never thought I would have in my life and I am so grateful to Pete for helping me realize this dream.
