About Cade
Hey y'all!
My name is Cade, and I am a bass player/teacher from Texas, USA. I've been playing both electric and upright bass for around 7 years now, playing in bands/groups from a variety of different genres. I want to help you reach your bass dreams. My students include a wide range of aspirations and ages, and it is my firm belief that it's never to late or early to start!
My lessons are tailored to each individual student and their specific needs. Want to learn how to learn songs by ear? Read music? Play with a band? I can get you there.
As I say to all of my new students, my goal is to make sure you don't need me anymore, and that you can eventually take learning into your own hands. My lessons will reflect this and will make sure you have the tools to improve on your own after we have finished lessons together. Teach a man to fish right?

I have been teaching informally for a while now, but my first steady teaching job was actually from seeking lessons myself. While learning guitar I wanted to get some help on soloing, so I went into this quaint little music shop named Texas Music Lab. After meeting the owner and employees, I fell in love with the place and kept coming back there just to hang out. Being a music shop, I naturally would mess around with all the instruments, and the owner noticed I played bass one day, and offered me a teaching job on the spot. I still teach there to this day, come by and visit if you are ever in Plano!
I have been a bass player for 7 years now, being a member and playing in various different bands/groups from a variety of different genres. I have also been teaching students for a year now from ages 16-70, and am open to take younger students.

First, we will work through what specific goals they have in mind and create a roadmap. I will then teach the technical skills required to do these goals, and lastly push the student to go beyond without needing my direct assistance.
Many different types. My youngest student was 16, and my oldest is around 70! I am open to anybody regardless of any factors.
Make sure it is someone you can connect with, if you don't connect don't take lessons. I made this mistake many times with my past teachers and only stuck with them because they could play very well.
Another thing, just because someone is good doesn't mean they can teach! Two very different skills.
