About Heather
I believe that anyone can learn to play the harp and create beautiful music given a little time, training, and practice. I teach students of all ages and ability levels to play the lever harp or pedal harp. I offer private weekly or biweekly lessons in 30, 45, and 60 minute increments online and out of my home studio in Friendswood, TX.
Focusing on a personalized and enjoyable learning experience, I tailor my lessons to the needs and goals of each student. Although I am formally trained in classical and orchestral music with a Bachelor of Music in Harp Performance, I teach all styles of music including religious, pop, modern, Celtic, and folk. I work with my students to develop good technique, musicality, and regular practice habits. Lessons may also include music theory, music history, sight-reading, and ear-training.
