About Andy
Anacortes Soo Bahk Do offers group and private lessons in three major areas:
* The tradional martial art of Korea, Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan. This is a style combining both hard and soft techniques.
* Wu Style Tai Chi Chuan.
* Self-Defense Classes and Seminars
With approximately 20 years experience in Soo Bahk Do and 10 years experience in Tai Chi, we are able to share what we have learned with students age 4 through seniors.(Our oldest current student is 74.) We are experienced in making adaptations needed based on age or physical or mental challenges, so that practice of the art may "rejuvenate and prolong the lives of our students, beyond their normal span," as noted in the Song of the Sip Sam Seh.
We annually provide self-defense/anti-bullying classes for over 200 students in the Anacortes School District as a Community Service.
The two primary instructors, Andy Arvidson Sa Bom and Colette Arvidson Sa Bom are 5th Degree Master Instructors certified by the Korean Soo Bahk Do Association World Moo Duk Kwan.
Anacortes Soo Bahk Do is also a participating facility available to members of Silver & Fit (Registered Program).
