About John
Realistic self-defense skills that you can actually use to defend yourself. Have trained members of the NYPD and U.S. Military.I have been training since 1984. Hold multiple black belts and have multiple years' of teaching experience. The black belts I have shouldn't impress you. It should be my ability to impart my knowlegde to you in a way that's easy for you to understand. GROUP LESSONS ONLY. $600 (90 min). Up to six (6) people.
Seeing someone who at one time had no confidence to defend themselves turn into someone WITH confidence AND skills who if needed CAN defend themselves.
Training since 1984. Multiple black belts
Teaching since 2000
Instructed civilians, NYPD and military members

This was my first self-defense class and everything was easy to follow and remember. Love the instruction. Highly recommended!!!!
The instructor (Sensei John) really teaches good technique. He's patient and really understands how to teach. Some instructors I have gone to in the past were good but they had difficulty in actually teaching. Instructing seems to come natural to Sensei John.
Sensei John was great! His instructions are always super clear. He takes the time to really teach so I'll be able to defend myself. Super patient.
