About Doris
I am ny state certified as a math teacher. I teach in a high school and i am also an adjunct at a college. At the high school, i teach Geometry, pre-calculus and ap calculus AB. At the college i teach pre-calculus, Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Intermediate Algebra. I have tutored in Finite Math as well.
I have been teaching for over 25 years. I was always good at math and decided that i wanted to teach. I taught in nyc for 9 years and then i switched school districts to Westchester.
Bachelors and a Masters in Mathematics. I have been teaching for more than 25 years.

I first try to assess areas of weakness and try to strengthen those areas and then try to bring the student up to par with what the teacher is doing in class. I try to prepare the student for any upcoming exams.
I have worked with mostly high school students, but also some college students.
Try to find someone you are comfortable with and make a connection. Also, you want them to be qualified and know the math.
