About Jake

I'm a passionate math student who wants to share my passion for mathematics with other students of the world. I am currently pursuing a B.S in Math at the University of Oklahoma, where I have maintained a 3.96 GPA. I have also received many scholarships and awards from the Math and Arts & Sciences colleges. I have done tutoring in high school, and helped lead an Academic Decathlon team to a state victory, so I know how to communicate subjects in an easy-to-understand way.

About the lesson

It is most important for us to discover where any cognitive dissonance may be happening. I ask them to talk me through their thought process for solving a problem, and I'll try to guide them without outright telling them the answer. I also ask them to explain the concept to me simply, as that's the easiest way to know if they understand the concept fully.
