My typical process with working with a new student is getting to know them and their learning styles. I also like to make the work fun! If I get to know the student they will not be shy and if i make the work fun for the child they will want to learn. And i want the children to set goals for themselves.
all kinds i don't think that there is something called types we are all human and unique in our own ways.
I would tell them to ask anything they want without being shy if they don't understand something let the teacher know so she can make sure you can understand it.
I have helped my special education brother graduate his classes with no grade less than an A.
