About Advit
Put simply, my experience.
On the tutoring side, I've served as a Kumon Math & Reading tutor, FIRST Lego League coach, and an Office of Accessible Education Notetaker for Stanford University. I love working with students and take pride in my ability to connect with them.
On the academic side, I've successfully taken 19 AP examinations throughout high school. Specifically in mathematics, I've taken AP Calculus AB/BC, Post-AP Differential Equations and Capstone: Multivariable Calculus from BASIS Independet Silicon Valley, a private STEM-focused school. Additionally, I've excelled in Stanford University undergradate courses in mathematics, including MATH 51 - Linear Algebra, MVC, and Modern Applications and CS 103 - Mathematical Foundations of Computing.
Be it serving as a tutor at Kumon Math & Reading for the past two years or coaching my brother's FIRST Lego League robotics team throughout high school, I love teaching.
Hearing their creative ideas and coming up with new ways to better engage them are two of the reasons why I love tutoring students — they're a lot of fun to work with :)
I've served as Math & Reading instructor at Kumon for the past three years. In addition to tutoring K-12 students, I've graded homework, adminstered tests, created lesson plans, and helped develop individualized teaching strategies catered to each student's needs.
Additionally, I've served as a mentor for my brother's FIRST Lego League team for the past two years. As a past participant myself, I've explained engineering concepts, given feedback on their project and programming, and helped guide their team strategy.
As a recent graduate from a STEM-focused private high school (BASIS Independent Silicon Valley), the concepts and teaching strategies utilized are fresh in my mind. Having taken 19 AP courses and examinations (4's and 5's in all) further exemplifies my understanding of the various subjects covered in high school.

Every student learns differently. This is simply an incontrovertible fact when it comes to education.
In order to work effectively with a new student, my goal is to first understand the teaching methdology which engages them the best. Be it learning by examples, theory, or hands-on demos, providing a customized lesson plan paves the way for a better tutoring experience.
