About Monique
Currently, I hold the highest GPA at my school and have received awards for highest academic honor in all core classes for my freshman and sophomore year of high school. I have volunteered to tutor for several of my high school teachers as well as within Mu Alpha Theta, a mathematics honor society. I greatly enjoy working with students of all ages to assist them in achieving a better understanding of the subject material they struggle in. Personally, my communication, reliability, experience, and enthusiasm towards providing a service that can better other students are what differentiate my service from other tutors. I've always had a natural inclination to help others, especially within an academic setting. It may be an altruistic instinct, but I have always been drawn towards providing assistance for others who are struggling. The gratification from seeing my students or peers improve is perhaps the best feeling I can attain from tutoring. I love making a personal connection with my students and having fun throughout the learning process.
I am currently a student in high school, thus my knowledge of the subject material is very recent and I feel very confident in teaching it to others. In addition, I have received honorary awards of maintaining the highest GPA in each of my core classes both my sophomore and freshman year, thus I feel that I have more than enough knowledge to assist other students.

The student usually provides an area or topic they have difficulty understanding. From there, we tackle the problem by thoroughly investigating all facets and details. We review the topic in this manner, whether it be by occasional quiz questions or other means, until the student completely understands the topic. If the subject is mathmatically-based, practice problems are usually done to strengthen the student's confidence.
I have worked with students ranging from elementary ages to high school students who are several years my senior.

I did act tutoring with her - she was really nice and helped me to study well for it, I felt prepared taking the test
she tutored me in my act for last year - mostly, she helped me devise strategies for each four sections, and then she provided lots of practice materials on google drive, and also gave me books to read cover to cover. got a 33!
She helped me during lunch to study the themes from Things Fall Apart (our class novel) and communicated her ideas well
She helped me with WHAP, I got a 4 on the AP exam - she actually gave a lot of study material for the essay portion which helped a ton
Really good in math tutoring, I was a year above her and she helped me with algebra 2 class work because the teacher moved too fast for me

Helped me pass summer geometry!
She was really patient and tutored me in computer science for 3 months for service hours. I had a lot of fun actually because we got to work on my AP project and I was passionate about what I was coding.
She was really nice and tutored me in chemistry, I didn't get stoichiometry but every morning for a week she helped me with homework and labs and I made an A and a high B on the other.
Monique was helpful, especially in algebra 2. She tutored me in person and was always really patient- communication was great, helped me to understand a few topics like logarithms that I didn't really get in class.
