About Christopher
I started teaching in college.
I have a masters in Aerospace Engineering which I received from Virginia Tech in 2011. I also have worked with NASA on sounding rockets for 6.5 years and was a Flight Software contractor for about 1.5 years. Lately, for the past 2 years I have been a Principal Systems Engineer for Northrop Grumman working on satellites.
In addition to nearly 10 years of professional engineering expeirence I have also been tutoring students online since 2017, about 3 years now. This tutoring has been done through online Q/A platforms along with live lessons through Zoom.

With each new student the first thing that I want to do is to establish goals. I want to see the courses that they are taking and if there is a way to connect them together. I also will look for areas that the are struggling in. Once I have an initial idea of the help they need, I target my sessions towards their learning style. In the end I always ensure that the new student will be excited for upcoming lessons and that they will improve their skills.

Details
I usually like to start at ~50 dollars an hour due to my experience. For more advanced math courses and physics, I usually like to charge ~70 an hour. If it's a university level course I prefer to charge ~80 an hour.
For middle school and elementary school I am ok with a rate as long as it starts at approximately 40 an hour.
