About Erika
I am a certified mindfulness instructor, and have practiced and taught for over 10 years, studying the traditions of Vipassana, Zen, yoga, and Buddhism. My goal is to help people improve their lives by offering tools that calm the mind and increase awareness.
I offer public workshops, classes, and retreats and also provide individual mentoring and instruction. Individual sessions allow me to develop a personalized practice that reflects your personal goals, whether those goals are reducing stress, increasing focus and calm, or exploring a spiritual path.
Meditation, mindfulness, and other practices have the power to transform
I have trained for five years in internal martial arts, during which I learned and taught Qigong. I have had a dedicated meditation and mindfulness practice for over ten years. I've attended over a dozen meditation and spiritual retreats ranging from Christian retreats to a Vipassana 10-day silent retreat.
I've been studying with my current meditation teacher for over ten years, attending his retreats, courses, and bi-weekly instructional satsangs. I also meet with him individually to discuss any questions that I have about my practice or about teaching. I am certified in mindfulness instruction, and have taught stress reduction skills to adults, undergrauate students, and children.

I typically ask new students to explain their past experience with meditation and their goals, and then will build a personalized "course" for them based on their needs. Each session we will review how their practice is progressing and address any questions or concerns. During this process, I will be teaching techniques, tools, and offering resources that will support their meditation practice.
