About Trent
Hi there. My name is Trent. This is a new venture for me and quite possibly for you as well. It’s OK to feel some nervousness believe me I will feel I feel the same. But I’m sure we would be a good fit after a session.
I’ve been making the transition to work at home instead of the classroom. And I’m excited to start tutoring clients. My areas of strength are general science, chemistry, psychology, and strategic test, preparation. I know how this can be a big choice when looking for the right tutor. And I have no problem with us having an introductory trial. If we’re not a fit and that’s OK.
I like to think of myself as a mentor, a coach, as opposed to what a lot of people think about teachers being just lectures. I’m here in support of your success.
There are plenty of excellent tutors available at this website but I hope that if you try me out that we will click and make significant improvements and headway in your studies.
I can also help with presentation skills and preparation. I know some classes will require a project or presentation as part of your overall grade and I can definitely help you with that as well.
And please don’t assume that I’m a genius at all. I choose, struggled with a lot of chemistry and other subjects. But I applied my own strategies and those that I learned that I can pass on to you. And throughout my chemistry career, I was able to pull off all A’s and B’s. And trust me, it was a struggle, but I did it, too diligent, studying, and most importantly, the right kind of studying. There’s a big difference between studying hard and studying smart. We will use both and I will be with you every step of the way as your tutor. Remember, were you high school and middle school science students, the goal is to build this basic foundation of understanding of chemistry and other subjects. Will you college freshman taken your first semester of chemistry it is usually a grind that you just have to make it through. Often a professor will use chemistry one to weed out students. But I promise if you make it through chemistry, one gets easier. And if you move on to organic chemistry, then it gets fun! Trust me
I believe there’s a lot of tools that I have that will definitely help you with test prep. And there’s nothing wrong with having more than one tutor. The ultimate goal is to gain significant changes in a positive direction.
I have my masters in education and my bachelors in chemistry; I have taught both in middle school science and at the university level as well. I am easy going and have a relaxed attitude and approach to my style of teaching and tutoring. I teach physical science, biology, chemistry, & earth science. I also love astronomy.
I use common and plain ordinary language which I feel can put clients at ease and allow them to increase their knowledge and understanding of what can seem like a difficult subject(s).
I am a professional with all the necessary equipment for my online students. I love to use visual aids too ( when I have them available).
I taught two year’s middle school science. And two years as a psychology professor.
Here’s one free piece of advice for my perspective, clients, struggling with chemistry, before we start purchase from your favorite bookseller the handy book: Cliff’s click review chemistry. I have that picture of the book in my photos for reference. It’s a book that I would want you to carry with you wherever you go from this point on.
Anyway, that’s just one free piece of advice for those struggling with high school College freshman first year chemistry. I also pictured two more books that I find our Remely helpful in my photo section so please check those out and if you decide to go with me and we’re studying chemistry, I highly recommend that you purchased them.
It doesn’t have all the answers, but you will find it comes in handy. I believe in using all the tools to get the grade you want to accomplish your goals.
Look at it as an investment in your future. We will use all tools available to ensure you achieve what you have set for yourself whether you go with me or another tutor. I want you to succeed.
PS I’m not exclusively, a chemistry, nerd; I a student of all the sciences and another favorite is biology. Check out the pictures. Science is fun as it should be. so if you take anything, I’m just reading this just keep that in mind. Have fun! Don’t get intimidated you can do it!
Keep in mind that science is an exploratory tool to examine our wonderful world!
And test preparation is a skill of strategy and knowledge.
And psychology is the study of our behavior and interaction with the world.
So please please please keep a positive mind and believe that you can do it! You will come out of this a better person.
