About Virginia
Before pursuing degrees in performance, I was enrolled as a Music Education major. Gradually, I realized that as I became more confident in my performance skills I also became a better teacher. Due to my background as both a performer and educator, I am confident that I can help you towards your voice goals.
I love demystifying the voice and helping people understand the instrument that is their body. Whether taking lessons to work towards a specific goal or simply for joy, singing is the best way to connect people.

I hold a Bachelor of Music from Manhattan School of Music and a Master of Music from San Francisco Conservatory of Music, both in Voice Performance.
I have been employed as a training artist with Central City Opera and Wolf Trap Opera.

I like to take the first meeting to get to know one another and set some loose goals. I am interested to hear about my student's musical background as well as interests outside of music. The first lesson is also an important time to make sure that I am the right person to help you towards your goals--not everyone learns in the same way!
You can never do too much research! Do you like your teacher's voice//their students' voices? Do they have background in the material you're hoping to hone? Are they clear and confident in their technical framework?
