About Fiona
I have over 10 years of experience teaching singing and hold a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Voice. My passion is helping students build vocal confidence and overcome performance anxiety. I believe that connecting emotionally with a song is just as important as hitting the right notes. I teach a variety of styles, including Pop, Indie, R&B, and Contemporary Worship. Breath control, expressive phrasing, and vocal health are key areas I focus on. I also provide live performance coaching to prepare students for the stage. I enjoy working with shy beginners, teen performers, and aspiring recording artists alike. Each student’s journey is unique, and I tailor my lessons to their individual needs. My goal is to help you find your voice and enjoy the process of musical self-expression. Singing should be fun and freeing, not stressful. For The Advanced Teen, my singing methodology focuses on refining musicality, pitch control, and emotional expression. We work on vocal flexibility through targeted exercises that challenge range and agility. Building confidence is key, so I encourage experimenting with different genres to develop adaptability in performance. Emotional connection to the song helps bring each piece to life. For The Quartet Player, teamwork and blending are priorities. We focus on harmonizing while maintaining individual pitch control and expression. Flexibility in switching between parts and styles strengthens overall vocal skill. Confidence grows as members learn to support and shine within the group. Both personas benefit from technology like DAWs and vocal apps to track progress and fine-tune pitch accuracy. Metronomes help maintain rhythm and timing, crucial for live and recorded settings. This practical approach keeps learning engaging and measurable. Together, we build strong, expressive voices ready for any musical challenge.
