Experienced tutor in Painting in South Pasadena, Jack offers private lessons tailored to your needs.

Jack is a warm, supportive, and very capable teacher. He shows by example and also gives excellent background on the basics of art, composition, and values. His methods are very supportive and I am thrilled to be creating paintings that enrich my life.

Jack provides a very relaxed painting environment. His good-natured teaching methods are so encouraging, and positive, and I am gaining confidence in my art.

Learning a new and extremely helpful technique to impressionist painting.

Jack is an excellent artist and teacher. He instructs us then let’s each of us go to create a painting we are proud of. Everyone in the class works on individual paintings at our own pace. Jack is there to further instruct and sometimes demonstrate when we get stuck and are not sure where to go next.

I have learned and grown in my painting with Jack over the past four years and will continue painting with him. There is still lots for me to learn from him

Jack is a helpful instructor....he is encouraging but not critical. I have never painted before his class but completed a painting in a short time.

Very good teacher, however let’s you use your talents and ideas: A fun class, while learning too.

I have always felt comfortable in Jack's class. Not competitive or artsy with other students. And I feel my painting has progressed with every season I've joined up.
