About Brian
I have taught Tai Chi for several years. Many of my students are people who have Parkinson's Disease. Many aren't. Either way, I believe in meeting people where they are: Whether they are a complete beginner or if they have physical challenges, we can make it work.
I really enjoy finding out who my students are as people and watching them progress in their skills.
I've always been a teacher and a coach in one form or another.
I am:
A certified, professional Life Coach. I did my training through IPEC.
A certified Tai Chi Instructor
A 200-hour Yoga Teacher certification in Yin Yoga.
Formal training in mental health awareness, mindfulness and meditation

As a coach, my first questions are these: What are your goals? What's been holding you back, so far? How determined are you to achieving them?
As a Tai Chi instructor, I watch my students closely and I ask them about what challenges they have. Every one is/was a beginner at some point. And you only get to go to your very first Tai Chi class once. Let's have fun with it.
I have worked with all kinds of folks. Some have challenges related to Parkinson's Disease. Others have anxiety or depression. Still others have wanted help improving their moving or their writing projects.
There is a process for teaching Tai Chi and their is a process for coaching folks. The process will work for folks who are motivated to move forward. If you are motivated, it can help you, too.
Come prepared to ask a lot of questions and come with an idea of what your vision and goals are.
