About Mickel
At the age of eight, Mickel's parents placed him in Judo to treat acute attacks of asthma. He immediately felt a connection with martial arts and the mind body connection and so went on to study Physiology, Kinesiology and Anatomy, obtaining Dual Bachelor Degrees in Physical Education and Sports Sciences from one of the top 5 Colleges in Brazil.
He found that he deeply identified with these practices and so for the next 13 years Mickel began his fitness career as a Personal Prainer and Fitness Coach. Although he focused early on training amateur bodybuilding and martial arts athletes, he now specializes in chronic physical injuries and post op recovery from back, spinal, knee, hip, stroke, and cancer related health issues.
His goal is helping as many people as possible to reach their own health and fitness goals through his unique method of funtional fitness training.
Mickel understands that each person is unique with possible injuries and different body types and so he enjoys creating an individualised fitness and diet plan for his clients to suit their specific needs.
