About Evan
I specialize in Concert and Sports photograhy, two genres that are very hard to master.
I started my teaching journey working at Oaks Chruch. First I was a student of photography. Over time, I developed my skills enough to become a Photography Leader, which is when I was allowed to start teaching others about photography and about our workflow.
I have been serving as a volunteer photographer at Oaks Church for going on 5 years now. I played a major part in developing the team's skill level to where we are now.
I also worked at Ivey Photography Studio as a seasonal employee, learning certain photoshop techniques as well as in camera techniques.
I am currently a senior Grahpic Design student at Dallas Baptist University.

I want to teach someone new about three basic photography in camera concpets: shutter speed, aperature, and ISO and how they relate to each other. From there, we will dive into white balance and color tempurature.
While learning these things, I also like to teach people how to develop an economic workflow using Adobe Lightroom.
I have worked primarliy with high school aged students. But I have offered help to college students and other adults in the industry.
We all have the same basic knowledge. Some have way more than others. Find someone who has what you want and find someone who can communicate to you well.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Have a specific goal or area of focus in mind. I can teach you basic photography, but I would like to know what you want to do with it. If you son not know what you want to focus on, my job is to help you to find it.

I do not have a set price for lessons becasue I want everyone to enjoy photography. But I would probably charge around $40 an hour.
