About Sandy
We have individualized lessons and classes.
I got started teaching when I was 8 and my little sister was 6 years old. We would play school and I was the teacher. It hasn't stopped since then.
I have a Bachelor of Fine Degree with an emphasis in sculpture. I'm a certified art educator who currently teaches Kindergarten through Eighth grade art in a public school.
Private and group lessons are taught in my working art studio in Fairmont West Virginia.

Our initial lesson will be a soft introduction to the art that you want to learn in the studio space and getting to know each other's styles and how to fit them together.
Beginning lessons often start with some drawing lessons. Drawing is the foundation of art.
We can work and a of mediums and lessons such as: Drawing, Painting, Bookmaking, Paper Making, Welding, Wood Working, Watercolor, and most sculptural media.
I enjoy all types of people as students.
Thise who think they are terrible artists are fun because I get to see their opinions quickly change. And those who come to me with experience are enjoyable because I get the priveledge of helping them broaden their skill and deepen their creativity.
I don't have had students from age 2 through 76 and truly enjoy all people of all ages and skill levels. Every person is unique.
When looking for a teacher shop around and diversify. Teachers have different strenghths and styles that can help you broaden your skills in the same discipline or art subject.
Seeing students expressions when they first see their abilities (and when they WOW themselves) is a perk of my career.

Consider the time commitment you are willing to make and what you want from the lessons.
If you commit time to practicing outside the lesson time your skill will grow better faster.
if you work on your skill during the lesson only the growth will be slower.

Private lessons for $35 for the first hour. A 90 minute lesson is $50
Group lesson Base rate depends on the project and the number of people. It is most commonly be between $15 per person to $30 per person.
