About Michael
I love shooting photos. I’m universal in my personal journey often shooting and documenting the spontaneous action, the personal interactions, the emotional frames in my environment, the shapes and the stillness.
My image making here reinforces my work as a fine artist and filmmaker. I studied photography at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Art and Design School in Australia.
My freelance photography business is crutial in generating extra income and keeping me agile. For this I specializes in portrait photography.
Having over 10 years experience here, I am accomplished and excited to share my knowledge.
I have a deep understanding of many aspects of photography and editing. These include event photography, landscape photography and photojournalism.
In post production I am expert at enhancing technical, creative and mood aspects within Lightroom and Photoshop: composition, cropping, the eclipse tool, curves, histogram, colour correction, skin tones, split tones and so much more.
If you are interested in making photography a business career I can advise you on the basic equipment you need to service your first paying client, how to make a great portfolio, how to connect with and sign up customers and how to make digital and print sales.
I have worked with the marketing manager of French importer and I produced image collateral for Clarins Paris skincare, Paco Rabane, Evan water.
More recently I have been generating income as a portrait photographer in Honolulu.
