About Alina
Alina Konshina is trained in the classical European method of instruction. She started her music studies at a formal music school at the age of seven and has since had the opportunity to study with famous musicians and teachers in various parts of the world. Mrs. Konshina graduated with honors from Sverdlovsk State Music College with a master’s degree in music. Upon graduation, she went on to become a music conductor and a piano instructor, as well as a middle and high school band teacher. She has also participated in prestigious regional competitions and won first place in piano performance. Alina has developed a unique method of teaching students to play the piano, utilizing various music theory techniques that implement a wide range of approachable methodologies (such as the utilization of color, easy to understand correlations for rhythm development, and immediate implementation of instruction at the practiced instrument), so that even the most novice of learners can be successful from the start. Alina’s goal is to teach in such a way that music playing is approachable and easy to understand. Alina also has experience working with children who have special needs and has received special acknowledgements for her master-classes and outstanding work in developing a curriculum for students at different stages of learning. As a teacher, Mrs. Konshina is patient, creative, innovative and confident. She is deeply committed to a high standard of musical education and desires that all of her students develop a deep love of playing music. While Alina’s primary instrument is the piano.
