About Lucy
I am currently a doctoral student and an associate instructor at the Jacobs school of music. I began teaching privately since 2012 and have experience teaching both private and group classes at the Jacobs school of music.
I love music and playing the piano and I want to inspire students to find joy in music and learn valuable skills at the piano that will benefit them for the rest of their lives.
I am currently studying towards a Doctor of Music at the Jacobs School of Music. I have been an associate instructor since 2017 at the school teaching private and group lessons, and have been a teaching assistance teaching undergraduate piano classes.

I would get to know their musical background, their purpose for learning the piano, any musical experience and the music the have been playing if they are not complete beginners and work out the best way to go from there.
I have worked with students from ages 5-40 and a wide range of levels, from complete beginners to advanced.
