About Dan
Hi, my name is Dan Winkler. I live in Durango, CO, and I’m a classical/jazz pianist as well as a traveling piano teacher. I believe strongly in learning piano through a more creative and improvisation outlook rather than a classical approach. Learning and practicing can be tedious and boring enough as it is, especially at a younger age. It’s important that the student gets to do what they want rather than follow a standard approach. I want to bring out the creativity in people, and show that anyone has the ability to make music. When studying with me you will be focusing mainly on improv/jazz. I will teach anyone at any age or skill level!

Details
If you or your child has any interest, I will happily come meet with you for free to see if we’d be a good match! I’m asking $25 for a 30 minute lesson, or $40 for a 60 minute lesson. Local competitor Katzin Music charges $60 an hour, and I also come to your home!
