About Kara
I love teaching students how to play their instrument, read music, and understand theory at the same time. I also enjoy allowing space for their creativity to shine! It's important for me to get to know my students to understand their goals, and how I can best help them to achieve them.
My favorite thing about teaching music is seeing a student become inspired because of the information I've unlocked for them. I want them to have all of the tools to be able to enjoy creating music.
I have been teaching music lessons non-stop since I was 15 years old. I have my bachelor's degree in music education (instrumental, vocal, and piano) from Berry College. I have also taught choir at public middle and high schools for several years.
