We are the parents of 5 children (ages 32-18) and the youngest is ready to move onto college. Each of the kids studied piano under the capable instruction of Maria. If my math is correct that is 23 straight years that we have had 1, 2 or even 3 children enrolled for lessons with her. Maria has been professional and kind as she has worked to help our children learn new skills and stretch their capabilities. She has a deep love for music and shares that enthusiastically with her students. She goes the extra mile to engage each student on a personal level.... for instance if a student is going through a Harry Potter phase Maria would try to tie that into their piano learning by introducing music from movie or challenging the student to compose a special song inspired by Snape or another character. She constantly amazed me with the creative ways she taught lessons and also presented recitals. Even after 23 years things constantly felt fresh and exciting.

Maria has been a true blessing to our family. She cared about each student/child and helped them develop a talent that came easier to some than others. It is a joy to see our children still enjoying the music skills that have become a part of who they are.

Many things! She is a good teacher. She tailors assigned piano music to the students' interests, and makes piano lessons fun. She's like Maria in the Sound of Music, or Mary Poppins, complete with a real English accent! She taught all five of our children, and helped each one improve. I recommend her without reservation.
