Experienced tutor in Piano in New York, Jakub offers private lessons tailored to your needs.

I have been having cello lessons, both online and in person, with Jakub since a year and a half ago as a beginner. I felt lucky that I have met such a talented musician and tutor.

Jakub is precise, dedicated, patient and skillful. His teaching contains many facets of playing cello, including the fundamental, the technical and the musical. He is good at explaining things in an imaginative way and knows how to select the right pieces to challenge the learner and help the student develop skills. In addition to giving feedback and teaching new techniques during the lessons, he always shows me how to practise effectively by myself.

I have contacted and met other cello tutors at the beginning. Jakub is the one who really thinks from the student’s perspective and understands the pace of an adult learner. The lessons I had are dense and informative. (He is experienced in teaching both children and adults and I am sure he is able to tailor the lesson to each individual).

Jakub is always positive and encouraging. I enjoyed every lesson we had together and look forward to the coming ones!

I’ve been having lessons with Jakub for the past 2 years now. I was a beginner at playing the cello when we first met and since then he helped me so much with my technique and shared some valuable knowledge about the repertoire that we worked on. From my personal experience I can say that Jakub is always well prepared for our lessons, very kind, understanding and never late.

Very professional and enthusiastic music teacher. Strongly recommended!

Jakub is an amazing teacher! I’ve never seen anyone so enthusiastic and passionate about music. The knowledge he has is very impressive and his cello playing - outstanding. Jakub is a strict teacher - he pays attention to every single technical detail and music expression, but at the same time he’s very friendly and helpful. He has inspired me to practice and become a better musician. I would highly recommend Jakub to everyone.

Jakub is a great teacher with a friendly and calm approach! He is very patient and supportive.

Jakub is very patient and can pass the knowledge to a student in a funny way. He had been teaching my daughter in London for 3 years and we could not wish for a better teacher!
