About Dani
Imagine if Mary Poppins were to run a School of Rock! You could probably be picturing Dani Schipaanboord. For 22 years, Dani has taught private piano and voice lessons in Southern California and Utah. Children and adults of all ages and levels have loved the enthusiasm she brings into making music an "instrumental" part of their lives. She has recently moved to the West Jordan/ South Jordan area and is accepting piano students of all levels. She teaches private lessons in her home. Call now to reserve your spot!
I firmly believe that music is for everyone. Not everyone will be born with the natural talents of Mozart or Beethoven. Very few of us will ever have the skills, talents, time or desire to become grand virtuosos. But everyone can have music in their lives. Everyone can learn the language of notes and feel the heartbeat in the rhthym of a song. I work with each of my students to help them to learn to read notes, understand different rhythms, and find the joy of performance. (Even if only in the comfort of their own living rooms) I not only teach the techniques and skills required, but I encourage, motivate, (sometimes cajole) and inspire students of all ages, all talent levels, and even all shyness levels to find a way to fill their lives and homes with music.

Perfect! Dani is great with my daughter, and I've been really impressed with how quickly she is learning!
Perfect! We just started my daughter's lessons last week. Dani is making piano fun for my daughter, and she has even looked forward to practicing and looks forward to her lessons.
Perfect! Dani immediately connected with my 9 year old daughter, and despite interviewing a number of additional piano teachers, my daughter kept asking for Dani. Since we hired Dani, I have seen my daughter improve her theory knowledge and piano skills, but most of all, she is developing a love for piano! Dani is wonderful with great enthusiasm and my son has learned so much already.
I'm so glad I'm taking lessons with Dani! I played piano kind of haphazardly as a kid, and she's been great about taking what I already know and building upon it as an adult learner. My schedule is crazy, but she's been flexible with lessons and understanding when I can't make it. I could not recommend her more!
Dani explains information in a clear, concise manner. She provides music which is challenging but provides excellent feedback so that it can be accomplished. It's fun and enjoyable. I love it!
