I prefer to see what they are being assinged and what they need help on with keeping up but if that inforation is not open to me I start at the basics. How are they studing or going about working on assignments? I really want to get to the heart of the issue.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should not be afraid to look stupid or offend a tutor. We know school is tough that's why you hired us. I couldn't tell you how many times I've had student say "I'm going to do that at home by myself because I don't understand it." My response is ask me about it! Why am I hear if not to help you understand.
