About Dianne
I have been teaching for 19 years. I am duel certified in Elementary Education and Special Education. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Special Education. I have taught in both private and public school. During those years, I have specialized in special education with an emphasis on Dyslexia intervention and reading. I am trained in multiple dyslexia intervention programs and reading programs. I love working with students one on one where I can see the progress and design a program that works for that student.
I enjoy seeing students make visible progress and increase their self-esteem and confidence while improving their reading skills.
I was first introduced to education in high school when I was assigned to be a volunteer at T.H. Rogers. While in college I worked as a teacher's assistant in Spring Branch ISD in a severe and profound classroom. After working in a law firm, i decided that I missed working with children and decided to go back to school to get my master's degree. I took a position teaching special education in Cy-Fair ISD in 2001. That summer I started all my training to become a dyslexia teacher. Since 2002, I have worked primarily with students with dyslexia, autism, expressive and receptive language disorders, and reading disabilties.

I typically work with a student for at least 2 sessions to get to know the student and form an understanding of their strengths and weaknesnes. I then formulate an individual plan for how to help them.
I have worked with students that have attention disorders, dyslexia, autism, expressive and receptive language disorders, and reading disabilties.
I have had the fortune of working with some truly amazing kids. I have a couple of students that I have worked with for many years.

Teaching is not simply a job for Diane; it is truly her calling. Our daughter has consistently worked with her for 7 years- and I'm not sure what we would have ever done without her.
I've never met an educator who cares more about her kiddos as a whole; not only is she beyond proficient in the technical aspects of teaching, she also gives them lifelong tools/strategies for success in the classroom. Her kids walk away from a session feeling stronger academically- and also valued and respected as a person. We love her!View more recommendations
