About Tony

I belive that self development through the Martial Arts and civic responsibilites go hand in hand. The message of self reliance and self respect underlie the ideology of all my classes. I espouse the idea of uplifting, motivating and empowering the individual no matter child or adult.
I live for the noticable changes I can see in student. Whether its physical, phsycological or interpersonal. The spark I see when complex ideas "click". Those are the moments I live for.
As a consequence of training. More specifically as the Assistant Director of the The Central Park Recreation Center in the early 1990's
over 40 years of Martial Arts training and Instruction including visiting instructor for NYC Parks Enforcement Patrol.
Leading various and numerous Womens self defense workshops. Speaking and lecture engagemtns in regrards to martial arts at large, self development and empowerment in specific. Explaing differences in the different martial arts and connections shared by styles

After a welcoming assesment I tailor my style to best comunicate with the student in front of me.
I also bring strong communication skills to my workshops and large classes.
As i get familar with the students motivations, drives and expectations I look to leverage their strengths and bolster any short commings they may express.
I have worked with students from the ages of 5 to 65. from all walks of life, cultures, religions, social economic stages and physical capability. From law enforcment and scientists to Vets and mail carriers to school age children
