About Mary Ellen
I am a lifelong sewing person, having learned in high school. I have years of experience in classroom teaching...English and writing. I have taught a wide variety of ages and both men and women.
My sewing studio is well equipped and available for use. All you need is enthusiasm!✂️
I love interacting with people. My students add sparkle to learning. We have fun together.
I have been teaching sewing formally for almost nine years. Prior to that, I often taught whomever asked. My education is that of an educator so I know my way around teaching to individual needs.✂️

About the lesson

Day one is equipment. We learn about the sewing machine, learn terms needed, cut with various scissors. Then we begin to sew...straight lines first.
From there, we make napkins or pillow cases..... Straight line sewing and ironing.
By then, we are on our way!

Details
My pricing for an hour's worth of sewing instruction is $25.
This includes access to my supplies, often fabric but always thread, interfacing, buttons, zippers. I have a machine available as well.
