I have been taking private voice lessons with Vlada since 2018. Each lesson has been such a joy! She has a deep understanding of the singing style of Bulgarian folk music, and also classical, jazz, pop, Indian classical music, and more. So she can work with people from different backgrounds and make them feel comfortable and heard. I have taken many voice lessons from vocal masters of different traditions all over the world over the years. Vlada amazed me by her knowledge across cultures and by helping me tap into a raw and powerful area of my resonance that I have never used and refine it over time. She has an intricate ear for resonances, embellishments, rhythms, and more. I learned so much as a vocalist and composer! She is also a really lovely, encouraging, and attentive person. So I always feel grounded and supported at her lessons and found myself wanting to practice and sing more.

She is also a phenomenal director and conductor of Yasna Voices, the New York Bulgarian Women's Choir. Seriously. Check out our recordings or come watch us perform live. The choir is a female force of nature under her direction. I highly recommend working with her in any situation!
