About Lindsay
Hi there! As a working actress in New York City, I've had to learn many different skills for my career. I spent the last 10 years taking classical voice training, as well as teaching private voice lessons for the past 3 years. In addition I have also taught private acting lessons including beginner/children's lessons, prep for auditions (both college and professional), and acted as an "other" for prep work or self tapes. I have a passion for the performing arts and I want to share that passion with you!
My other passion is makeup! In college I was a teaching assistant for three years for the beginner stage makeup class, and I was even given the opportunity to teach some classes on my own. I later was able to makeup design for community and regional theatres as well as haunted houses. I have been working most recently for modeling shoots and bridal parties. I am excited to show you what you can do from improving your everyday makeup routine to making the perfect Halloween look this year to makeup designing your show!

i started teaching in college when a friend asked for some help on an audition. I helped her work on her audition pieces and realized I enjoyed doing it, and that I was quite good at it. I slowly started gaining more and more interest from other people until I finally had my own clientele. After moving back to NYC, I realized I wanted to keep doing that and expand my interests.
I was trained in classical voice for the past ten years, working in all different styles and genres as a professional singer. I have a BFA from the University of Oklahoma School of Drama in Acting, I'm currently in an MFA Screen Acting program, and have been working as a professional actor since I was 2 months old. In addition, I have taught small makeup courses as well as working as a makeup artist and designer on shows, photo shoots and weddings.

The first lesson is always a get to know you lesson. You let me know what you are looking for, and I let you know what services I can provide so we can get started.
I've worked with all types of students ranging in age from 4 years old to 65+. Some beginners, intermediate and professionals just looking to brush up on their skills or get a second opinion on how something sounds or is coming across.
Anyone out there can teach, but it's up to you to find the perfect fit for you. If it doesn't feel right, then it probably isn't and there is no use in hanging on to something that doesn't work.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Think about what your end goal is. You may not need what you think you need to get to that end. It's always good to work towards something, and if you know what that is, then you're already halfway there!

Voice Lessons: In person $75/hr including cost of studio space, and accompanist if so needed
Acting Lessons: In person $75/hr including cost of studio space
Makeup Lessons: $75/hr and up depending on the size of the party interested and specialized products if need be
