About Cesar
With over 25 years of coaching experience, I bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to the soccer field. My dedication to the sport is evident not only in my extensive coaching tenure but also in the success of my own children, both of whom played Division 1 soccer, with my youngest currently thriving in the professional arena.
My journey in soccer began with World Class soccer camps, where I collaborated with a teammate who went on to play for the prestigious NY Cosmos. Having played at a high level myself, including college and semi-pro, I have had the privilege of sharing the field with outstanding players and forming lasting friendships.
In my coaching philosophy, I emphasize the importance of mastering the basics. Soccer, in its essence, is a simple game, and I firmly believe that a player's "first touch" is paramount, closely followed by enhancing their soccer IQ. As players mature, I guide them towards thinking strategically, akin to a chess game, by encouraging them to anticipate and plan one play ahead.
Diversity on the field is a key aspect of my coaching style. I advocate for players to learn every position, fostering a well-rounded skill set that contributes to their versatility. During practices, I tailor my approach to address individual needs, focusing on areas that will have the most significant impact on each player's game.
While I believe in creating an enjoyable atmosphere during training sessions, I maintain a serious attitude towards learning. Striking a balance between fun and discipline is crucial for player development. My coaching style aims not only to enhance technical skills but also to instill a deep understanding and appreciation for the beautiful game.
Join me on this soccer journey, where we combine passion, dedication, and strategic thinking to elevate your game to new heights.
