About Richard
Hello, I'm Rich Ballard, a seasoned professional soccer player having just finished my 7th year professionally in the USL. My accolades include being a 1x NCAA D1 National Champion, 2x USL Championship National Champion, and 1x Rookie of the Year Finalist.
With a coaching tenure spanning over 15 years, I have had the privilege of mentoring individuals across all age ranges and experience levels, from beginners to active professionals. In addition, I am an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with experience interning at Indiana University, where I worked with D1 and Olympic-level athletes across 24 sports.
I am also certified by the Association of Professional Football Analysts in Individual Player Development and Analysis where Ive spent the past year doing professional film analysis for players in MLS, USL Championship, NCAA D1, etc. Currently, I am enrolled and studying for my US Soccer B Coaching License as well.
My passion revolves around both the sport itself and the transfer of essential life lessons it presents. Having had the privilege of learning from some of the nation's finest coaches, I am committed to passing on the wisdom that has boosted my personal success throughout my career. I am excited to contribute to your growth, both as a player and as a well-rounded individual. If you are prepared to invest the effort and train with the dedication of a professional, I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to work with you!

Perfect! Rich was awesome- my son had a specific skill he wanted to improve on, and he delivered- he worked on drills and combined other techniques that were super helpful. We will be working with him again for sure! Highly recommend

Richard has gone above and beyond as a coach for my son, not only teaching him the technicals of soccer, but also the mental stamina it takes to maintain the ambition, focus, and discipline when becoming better every day at something. Coach Rich has been an inspiration to my son and has become someone he will always look up to!
As a coach, Rich is clearly experienced w working w all age groups, and individual learning levels.
His enthusiasm runs thru his drills, one on one, small sided games, and player or parent conversations.
