About Emily
My name is Emily Smith and I play division 1 soccer at American University. I have always had a big passion for soccer as I have been playing since I was 5 years old. After working numerous soccer clinics and camps, I knew I had a passion for coaching as well. I have experience with small group trainings and individual trainings. My goal is to develop the skills of young soccer players while also growing their love for the game.
Soccer has always been my greatest passion. My goal is to generate that same passion for soccer that I experienced as a kid in the young players I work with.
I have been playing soccer for 16 years and am currently playing Division 1 at American University. In addition to competing at high levels, I have coached small group clinics and privately for about 5 years.

When first getting started with a new athlete, I run the first session with a main focus on technique to get a good understanding of what level the athlete is at. From there, I like to focus on areas the athlete wishes to improve as well as where I see there can be improvement. The overall goal it to make the athlete more confident and skilled on the field.
