As a top competitor for 4 decades and coach for over 28 years, Karl's experience can help you take your game to the next level.

I started coaching juniors for the international competion for the Arctic Winter Games in 1992. And for over 40 years have volunteered teaching juniors and adults at the Boys & Girls clubs, Parks & Recreation centers, local elementary to high schools, local community schools program and University of Alaska PE classes and formed the first college Table Tennis club in 1978.
Training experience from my coaching junior male & females for Team Alaska in the Arctic Winter Games from 1994 to 2020. And my personal coaches who have helped me develop from 1976 & 1982. Then when traveling to national and international Table Tennis tournaments from 1989 to 2018.

I first discuss with my student the specific skill(s) they desire to develop or improve. If a new student is at a basic skill level we start with foundational footwork and simple strokes. I further evaluate skill level and develop footwork and stroking drills in a progressive way. Repetition improves mechanics and consistency. I have coached male & female juniors from ages 10 to 18 years. And beginner & intermediate skill level adults.
Observe my coaching techniques with other students at our weekly club meetings. Come out and play against various skilled players to assess your own talent. And ask other team & individual sports coaches in our area, ask them "who coaches Table Tennis" locally? Speak to my former students.
Coaching skill clinics for juniors and adults and seeing fundamental progress form in a just a few hours.
